A RESIDENT has received an award in recognition of her voluntary work and services undertaken.
Helen Furneaux secured the Aelwyn Morgan Award 2020, presented annually by Rhuddlan Town Council in memory of Aelwyn Morgan, a former headteacher of Ysgol y Castell.
Helen was praised for her many years of dedication to Rhuddlan Community Group.
Sian Mai Jones, Rhuddlan Town Clerk, said: "Helen has worked with a team to make sure that the town always looks lovely and welcoming throughout the year.
"She has also displayed wonderful chairing skills."
Cllr Arwel Roberts and Awen Roberts, the mayor and mayoress or Rhuddlan, presented the silver salver to Helen.
Helen was selected after members of the public put forward suitable candidates to the clerk, giving reasons for their choice and details of work undertaken by nominees.
