POLICE are warning Wrexham residents about rogue traders and garden furniture thefts in the area.
North Wales Police's Community Safety East team said on Wednesday morning that there have been several recent reports of garden furniture in the Wrexham area.
A spokesperson said: "It's that time of year again when garden ornaments and furniture are stolen in the night.
"We have received several reports of thefts from gardens in the Wrexham area over the last few days.
"Please security mark your furniture and look into the security of your garden."
The team also said it has encountered rogue traders doing "very little building work" for "large amounts" of money from elderly Wrexham residents.
A spokesperson said: "Sadly we have had some jobs in the Wrexham area when very little building work has been carried out but a large amount of money has been charged to elderly persons.
"If you see builders in the area you live in who you don't think are legitimate please ring 101."
