POLICE have seized a number of "suffering" sheep in the Wrexham area.
North Wales Police's Rural Crime Team said the move was made on Friday following concerns made to Wrexham Council's animal welfare officers that the livestock were "suffering".
The area from which the sheep have been seized remains undisclosed, but a spokesperson for the team said all the sheep will now be "fully examined" by a Welsh Government Environment Agency vet.
