CHILDREN learning at home have been busy taking part in competitions.

In addition to work provided to school and in response to Denbighshire Creative Kids Challenges, pupils from Ysgol Llywelyn in Rhyl have been demonstrating their talents.

Emilia Roberts came first in the seven to 11-year-old old category to pitch a healthy recipe for a lockdown lunch.

Emilia chose a cheesy dip and sticks for starter and a healthy tuna pasta salad for the main course.

She said: "I prepared and made a healthy ‘lockdown lunch’ for my family for under £5. I listed all the ingredients with the individual costs and wrote how I prepared and made the dishes.

"I love cooking and baking so I couldn’t wait to do it”
