WITNESSES are being sought on Anglesey after criminal damage was done to a school building during a burglary.

The incident took place at 6pm on Wednesday evening, with 'significant damage' being done to Talwrn School.

Police say a shed at the rear of a property was broken into and the stolen items were then used to cause damage. Items taken include soft drinks and electrical items.

Acting District Inspector Ian Roberts said "This is simply, mindless damage and the actions of those responsible is just shameless. Why? springs to mind. Items recovered will be sent for forensic analysis and further enquires are on-going. We are keen to speak to the group of young people that were nearby. This is also a timely reminder that the COVID restrictions still apply".
