WORK has begun to repair damage to the A494 following an earlier lorry crash.

The repairs are needed following a crash in the late hours of Wednesday night, May 20, when an HGV overturned on the route into North Wales near Queensferry.

A spokesman for Traffic Wales said: “Repair work has now started following extensive damage caused to safety barrier by incident last week.

“One lane closure will be in place in both directions until works are complete. All works will be carried out in line with social distancing.”

The incident saw the road closed off for almost 18 hours as emergency services were on the scene.
