FOUR drivers from across the UK have been issued with COVID-19 fines by police in Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant.
As part of Operation Dovecote, Newtown RPU has been conducting patrols, conducting stops on road users and fining those visiting the area without good reason.
More than 100 vehicles were stopped on Saturday, May 23 and the drivers of four of these were fined for contravening COVID-19 rules.
These drivers were in the area specifically to visit the waterfalls, and had travelled from London, Derby, Liverpool and Wrexham.
