ARMED officers were brought to a Rhyl street where a man has been arrested for possessing a weapon.

Police were called to the River Street area of Rhyl on Friday evening, May 22, officers for North Wales confirmed where the man was arrested for possessing an air weapon in a public place.

Footage sent to the Journal show officers on the street and cars being used to block off the road.

A spokesman for the force said: “At approximately 7.45pm last night (Friday), officers attended a property in the River Street area of Rhyl. One man was arrested in connection with the possession of an air weapon and our enquiries are continuing.”
