TWELVE people have been arrested after drugs warrants were executed in Wrexham.
Officers executed 12 warrants, 10 of which were in the Wrexham area, on the morning of Wednesday February 26, under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Another two warrants were executed on Anglesey and in Merseyside.
Suspected drugs recovered by officers during the warrants
Police said as a result of the warrants, nine men and three women were arrested for being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
A significant quantity of class A drugs, cash and high value vehicles were seized and further searches are ongoing.
All those arrested are currently in custody in Llay Police Station, North Wales Police said.
Cash recovered by police during the warrants
Insp Mark Hughes said: “This is yet another example of the successful work that is being undertaken to manage all types of investigations into serious and organised criminality – including drug supply.”
“We will continue to relentlessly pursue any organised and criminal groups that operate in the Wrexham area. Today’s events should serve as a warning to others who are involved in such activity.”
“We want to reassure people that we are taking positive action. By conducting these warrants our aim is to cause disruption to the trade in illegal drugs across the area.”

He added: “These types of warrants would not be possible without the support and assistance of the local communities. I appeal to anyone with information linked to drugs supply of any kind to make contact with us. We will always treat any information in the upmost confidence.”
