MASONS A posted their finest result of the season so far as they smashed the Wingmen's unbeaten start to the Denbigh and District Darts League campaign.
Looking for a fourth winter title in a row, Masons A have played second fiddle to the Wingmen's seven-match unbeaten start to the season.
However, a stellar performance by the reigning champions saw them record a deserved 6-2 victory, with former county captain Steve Gierke grabbing the all-important winning point.
His victory was backed up by wins from Adie Thomas, John Jones, Glyn Lloyd, Eifion Hughes and the impressive Dave Davies, who grabbed a splendid 15-dart leg which included a 101 finish.
Dale Jones grabbed a maximum for the Wingmen as their lead at the top of the table was cut to nine points.
Completing a superb night for the Masons, the B team pulled off a great 5-3 win at Golden Lion A in an entertaining encounter.
Masons man Josh Smith slotted in a 180, with team-mate Lawrence Barnett recording a 15-dart leg courtesy of a 122 outshot.
Alun Roberts replied for the Lionmen with a neat 16-darter.
Railway A still have winter title aspirations of their own after coming so close in the summer.
They strengthened their hopes by picking up a handy 6-2 result at Wings B.
The Hand Inn have gone joint top of the Second Division on the back of a thumping 7-1 win at the Llindir Inn.
They sit at the top with the Railway B, who dropped points when they drew 4-4 with Golden Lion C.
Rob 'Mero' Jones grabbed a tidy 104 checkout for Railway B.
The popular memorial four-a-side cup got underway as the last-16 stage produced some quality performances.
Winners of last three cups are Masons AA and they defeated Golden Lion AB 6-1, with county ace Dave Davies grabbing two maximums.

Tom Brown, of the Railway, took out a great 110 outshot, while Wingman Arwel Hughes chucked in a 117 checkout.
In further great darts, Dil Martin helped himself to a 17-darter and then teamed up with son Rich Martin to produce a 17-darter in their doubles match.
