ANGLESEY youth services teamed up with the local policing team to provide half term activities.

The two day event, held this week and supported by North Wales Police Anglesey Council Youth Services and the Welsh Guards, is aimed at highlighting the effects anti-social behaviour has on our community.

The group also received a visit from the No Way Trust charity, based in Hull, who provide educational and innovative programmes for children and young people, with a commitment to helping the vulnerable, and underprivileged; inclusive of all.

Their famous ‘prison bus’ has visited the island to provide a stark reminder of making the wrong choices.

Area Support Sgt Ian Roberts said “Having met the organisers and the young people this morning, the enthusiasm was infectious and it's excellent to see the support from the families of the young people that attended.

"Our key message is to show respect to your community and to highlight the consequences of making the wrong choices. The project will tomorrow move to Llangefni and work with young people from Llangefni to Menai Bridge.

"I would further like to thank Asda for their continued support: Asda staff members unfortunately had been victims of inconsiderate and foul behaviour.

"However their management have supported restorative justice and kindly attended sessions to explain the affect they were having. Consequently the picture has improved, and they continue to support our events by now providing refreshments."
