TRIBUTES have been paid to an inspirational and 'colossal character for Corwen'.
Corwen county councillor Huw Jones, who was also the Corwen Football Club president, has sadly died.
Corwen FC Tweeted: "It is with great sadness that Corwen FC announces the passing of Huw Jones - our club president.
"Huw has been player, manager and secretary over the years and truly deserving of the title Mr Corwen FC.
"RIP Huw Chick."
Ruthin county councillor Cllr Huw Hilditch Roberts described Cllr Jones as "a colossal character for Corwen".
"He was a gentleman, a kind-hearted and an all-round good guy.
"He worked tirelessly for his community and he was fair with all.
"Corwen has lost a son and a truly inspirational man.
"Cysga'n dawel Huw Chick."
