THE "sea shanty insanity" of one of the most visually stunning movies today will find a home in Theatr Colwyn this month.
The Colwyn Bay cinema looks set to be the only place showing Robert Eggers' maritime black and white horror The Lighthouse on Friday, February 28 at 7.30pm.
Despite the uninspired selections - and in some cases, winners -at this year's Oscars, the latter months of 2019 and start to 2020 have seen a bumper crop of incredible films such as Parasite, Uncut Gems and The Farewell - and this film stands proudly in such exalted company.
Starring Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe, this latest film from the visionary filmmaker behind modern horror masterpiece The Witch tells the hypnotic and hallucinatory tale of two lighthouse keepers on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s.
Tickets to see this nightmarish tale are £7, to book visit theatrcolwyn.co.uk or call the box office on 01492 556677.
