A NUMBER of flood alerts are in place as Storm Ciara continues to batter the region.

The latest flood alert to be issued is at the lower Dee Valley, from Llangollen to Trevalyn Meadows.

There's also an alert in place for the Clwyd catchment, covering areas around the River Clwyd from Clocaenog to Rhuddlan.

In addition, there is a flood alert for the River Elwy, from Spring Gardens Bridge to Rhuddlan.

This covers the area alongside the River Elwy from Spring Gardens Bridge to Rhuddlan HTM Business Park, including parts of the A547 Abergele Road, the A525 St Asaph Road and Station Road.

A further flood alert is in place for the River Elwy, at St Asaph.

This covers parts of St Asaph, including Spring Gardens, Roe Parc, Hen Waliau, The Roe, Tan-y-Bryn, Ashly Court and Dean's Walk.

There's a flood alert for the Elwy and Gele catchment, covering areas around the River Elwy and River Gele, from Gwytherin to St Asaph and including Abergele.

A flood alert is in place at the Upper Dee Valley from Llanuwchllyn to Llangollen, including Corwen.

There's a flood alert also in force in Llanrwst, covering parts of the town including Station Road, Conwy Terrace, Perthi, Cae Person and Parc yr Eryr.
