Nose bite ends in court case

A FAMILY reunion at the seaside ended with a drunken 22 year old woman punching a cousin – and biting her nose.

Caernarfon crown court heard Louise Stanley, aged 21, was left with a permanent reminder of the August 2018 meeting of estranged relatives at a caravan park at Kinmel Bay – a small scar.

Leanne Acton, of Breach Road, Coalville, Leicestershire, who had met Miss Stanley for the first time, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm and criminal damage by stamping on the victim’s mobile phone.

A ten months suspended jail term was imposed and Acton must do 150 hours unpaid work and rehabilitation activity.

She also has to pay £500 compensation and £480 costs.

Judge Nicola Jones told Acton there was repeated punching, and biting of the arms and nose when she turned aggressive.

But she added :”I have taken considerable account of your clear genuine remorse and empathy for your victim.”
