AN appeal for witnesses is being made after a cyclist was seriously injured following a collision in Llanaelhaearn last week.

Police were called to a report of a collision between a cyclist and a black coloured Dodge Nitro on the A499, shortly before 8:30pm, on Thursday, January 23.

The cyclist was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by ambulance with serious injuries but has since been transferred to hospital in Stoke where he remains.

Sergeant Jason Diamond of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing for information and are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of a silver Vauxhall Corsa who may be a potential witness.
