MANY people are relieved to have a break following a stressful start to their workday, however workers in St Asaph are now able to get a body massage to rid their nine-to-five woes.
Staff at the OpTIC Technology Centre, St Asaph Business Park will be first in line for the 15 to 20-minute holistic treatments provided by the Willows Holistic Therapies during lunchtime drop-in slots. Sarah Maitland-Price, who holds a CRM L5 Dip qualification in reflexology, moved to the centre in January to offer a range of services that restore the body’s natural balance for a better quality of life.
“I have been lucky enough to acquire a beautiful room within a fantastic business start-up community in an easy to get to location for everyone,” said Mrs Maitland-Price.
“The OpTIC Centre gives business support for first time and start-up businesses in Wales and I think it will give my business a great chance to move further forward.”
As part of her approach to supporting staff wellbeing, Mrs Maitland-Price offers specialist reflexology, Reiki treatments, holistic facials and seated chair massages. It is conducted on the top layer of clothing, working on areas of the back, neck, shoulders and arms without the use of oils.
“The benefits of this treatment are that it gives the person a short break for the mind, mental relaxation, may help with the effect of poor posture and improves overall mood,” Mrs Maitland-Price added.
The OpTIC Technology Centre, which is owned by Wrexham Glyndŵr University, said health and well-being is an important aspect of its ethos. Last year Glyndŵr Innovations Ltd was awarded by Public Health Wales for the importance it places on an holistic approach to well-being in the workplace.
