AN 84-YEAR-OLD man has died after he was hit by a police car in Bebington.
Emergency services were called to an incident by the Three Stags pub in Spital Road on Wednesday morning.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance attended and the pedestrian was air-lifted to hospital with serious injuries.
He passed away last night.
The incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) who are carrying out an independent investigation.
An IOPC spokesperson: "Sadly, the man injured died yesterday evening.
"His next of kin has been informed and are being supported. Our thoughts are with all those affected by this incident.
"Our investigation is ongoing.”
