WITH the last few gifts - hopefully- ticked off the shopping list, there's just one last minute requirement for the perfect Christmas - and Theatr Colwyn has you covered!

From this Saturday, December 21 Colwyn Bay's panto stalwarts will bring years of expertise - and a vaudeville twist - to the classic Arabian tale Aladdin.

Guaranteed to delight young and old audiences alike, the group specialise in adding magic, puppetry and more to the classic all singing, all dancing panto format - oh yes they do!

Director Libby Edwards, who also stars as The Guardian of the Ring, said: “We can reveal that the Princess will be seen flying on a Magic Carpet, there will be a number of spectacular illusions throughout the storyline and the traditional magic lamp is given a whole new lease of life."

Co- director and veteran dame Stuart Loughland, who plays Aladdin's mother Mrs Twankey said: “I am really excited to be back. Aladdin is one of our favourites because we get to include a lot more magic.

“The audience can expect high quality family entertainment which is what panto is all about. It is full of comedy and action and it is a great story.”

Also taking part in this action packed adventure is seasoned pantomime performer Steve Bloor as Wishee Washee and new to the cast Tomos Bohanna as the eponymous hero Aladdin.

On their journey they encounter Brendon Riley who returns as the scheming villain Abanazer, Jay Beadle as The Genie, Lukas Kirkby as the Emperor, Rhiannon Petrou as Princess Jasmine and PC Stop Em played by Stephen Owen.

With a charming love story,plenty of laughs and the perfect happily ever after, head to Theatr Colwyn and enter the magical realm of Aladdin until Saturday, January 4.
