As well as meeting celebrity campmates, such as Adele Roberts and James Haskell, the theatre performer took part in a Bushtucker Trial with Adam and Emily.

Susan Davies, Amber's mum, said: "She did amazing. She had the best time, she had the best three days. Such a positive place to be.

"She loved doing the trial. She said it was the best experience that she has had on television.

"Just being part of it."

Amber met presenting duo Ant and Dec, took a seat in Dec's chair and posed in her jungle outfit before taking on the trial.

"She loved donning the blue and red outfit," Susan added.

Asked whether she could ever her see her daughter taking part in the main programme in the future, Susan responded: "I don't know. Now that she has been out there, it might be something she would consider.

"I don't think she would be phased by the other trials.

"She is bright and very switched on. She would be very good for example at the Dingo Dollar Challenge. She is very clever working out things like that."

Following her appearance on Extra Camp, Amber spent a week with a friend in Adelaide

Susan said Amber, who played Judy Bernly in 9 to 5 the musical tour for the last time in November, has had amazing 2019 and feels very humbled.

"She is so down to earth," she said.

"She is coming home for Christmas and we will be going out for lunch.

"It will be so lovely to have both Amber and her sister Jade home.

"Amber has had an amazing two years."
