PUPILS from Ysgol Y Castell Primary School added plenty of Christmas cheer to a town's music memories session.

Rhuddlan’s Music Memories sessions usually have 30 people coming along to enjoy a singalong plus tea/coffee and biscuits but at their last session, they were joined by the school choir and a range of Christmas favourites were sung to everybody.

Singing sessions are held fortnightly on Tuesday afternoons in Rhuddlan Library. They are organised by the dementia group with funding from the lottery.

Cllr Arwel Roberts, group chairman, said: "It is wonderful to see the children singing for and along with our regular members.

"It gave a very festive feeling to the session and it also promoted the intergenerational approach between young people and the elderly, including those people living with dementia."
