STAFF and residents at a care home in Rhyl enjoyed spreading the love on World Kindness Day.

Residents at Bradshaw Manor Care Home, on Chester Street, put together ‘kindness packages’ which they delivered on the day, November 13.

The parcels were gratefully received by businesses in the area, including the fire station and the ambulance service.

Emma Crompton, activities co-ordinator, said: “As a care home, it is our duty to cultivate a kind and nurturing environment 100 per cent of the time, but it was great to see residents get into the spirit of things as well. They really enjoyed delivering the parcels – it was such a simple, yet effective way to make someone else’s day.”

Jim Brierley, a resident at Bradshaw Manor Care Home said: "It is so important we remember the services such as the fire brigade and ambulance service, especially this time of the year who work endlessly.

"It is not very often I can give back now to the community but it felt good."

Bradshaw Manor care home is run by Barchester Healthcare. Bradshaw Manor provides nursing care and dementia care for 65 residents from respite care to long term stays.
