PUPILS have been embracing the Rugby World Cup and learning about Japan and its rich culture.

Teachers at Ysgol y Llys in Prestatyn have been making the most of a new Welsh Rugby Union resource.

Children have been working their way through tasks.

Rhyl Journal:

Deputy Headteacher Rhys Griffith said: "We are over the moon to have this fantastic free resource from the Welsh Rugby Union. This is a predominantly football town but this is really helping to develop the knowledge and interest of the children in rugby. It’s great to see the children embracing the game."

Mr Griffith along with headteacher Dyfan Philips were involved in writing a series of tasks which form part of ‘Dosbarth Digidol WRU / WRU Digital Classroom.

The on-line resource is already being used by over 250 schools around Wales and aims to engage, inspire and stimulate learners, while also focusing on history, tradition, heart and integrity.
