A RHYL family has been reunited with their missing cat Peggy after she became trapped in a garage.

The "unusually large" one year old cat went missing on Thursday, October 3 from her home on Colin Drive.

Following a leaflet drop in the street, a nearby resident spotted a '"shaken" Peggy with some cuts on her face but without any serious injuries.

Owner Candy Patterson said: "We had a had a phone call saying a couple had gone into their garage and there was a scared cat inside that looked like the leaflet. She had been trapped in someone's garage for days but thanks to kindness of people checking their gardens she was found safe and well.

"She's back home now and her family couldn't be happier and we've never been so happy."
