A NEW type of dance has started in Rhuddlan.
Sit and Be Fit sessions, helping people to feel and function better, take place at Rhuddlan Community Centre.
Cllr Mike Kermode said: "It’s all about chair dance which is an inclusive form of fitness for the less mobile. It helps to improve flexibility, balance and circulation.
"The sessions are open to all ages and abilities and the chair-based nature of the exercise also makes it the perfect fitness technique that you can use at home."
The next session is on Monday, October 14 at 1pm.
The sessions are organised by Rhuddlan Dementia Group and funded by Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council and their partners.
There is no entry fee. Tea/coffee and biscuits included.
The dementia group has received about £4,000 in grants. The money will enable the group to run activities over the next 12 months.
