FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a shed fire in Kinmel Bay last night (Sunday).

Having received a call at just after 9pm, two crews from Rhyl and one from Prestatyn attended the scene on Moelwyn Avenue.

Trees and 12m of fence, as well as a shed had caught fire as crew members carried out a controlled burning process to extinguish the fire - which was eventually put out at around 10.39pm.

Firefighters used three hose reels and four breathing apparatus and a man at the property was checked over by paramedics at the scene.

A spokesperson for North Wales Fire and Rescue said: "We received a call at 9.02pm to attend the scene of a shed fire on Moelwyn Avenue, Kinmel Bay.

"Controlled burning was carried out some trees at the property and 12m of fence. Crews from Rhyl and Prestatyn used three hose reels and four breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.

"A stop was called at 10.39pm."
