AN AMAZING mural made from recycled glass collected from Rhyl beach was presented to the town's lifeboat crew.

The impressive mosaic was made by Rhyl Men's Shed as part of their lottery funded heritage maritime project.

It was presented to Rhyl Lifeboat at a Brighter Futures building launch.

Brighter Futures are the consortium that run Rhyl Men’s Shed, Rhyl Women’s Shed, Rhyl Youth Group, Rhyl Youth Cafe, Rhyl Play Cafe, The Moon Time Project and WiFi Connections.

Jaynie Coltman Jones, one of the Men’s Sheds co ordinators, said: "It was made from recycled beach glass some from Rhyl Beach but not all.

"The mosaic was built over quiet a few weeks and probably took around 40 hours or so."

AM for Vale of Clwyd, Ann Jones, attended the presentation as well as Rhyl mayor, cllr Ellie Chard.
