HUNDREDS of readers have been sharing their memories after the Journal revealed that Fusion Nightclub in Rhyl was set to close.

A number of residents took to the Journal Facebook to say they had found love in the club while others recalled 'old adventures' and having the 'best night of their life'.

Over the years, the club has been known by many names including Kings, Nutz, Frankies, C-jays, Scruples, Zinc, Vanilla Lounge and Zubar.

Penny Tom said: "My husband and I had our first kiss in there 17 years ago tomorrow, celebrating our ninth wedding anniversary today and have not long had our seventh baby. End of an era for the Rhyl prom."

Clair Louise Wilson said: "I use to work there when it was Scruples, loved every minute of it. Had some amazing memories and nights there."

Joey Blower Very exclaimed: "Sad day! Had the best times of my life there. Memories made for a lifetime and friends forever."

Jayne Louise Parr posted: "Had the best nights of my life here."

Reader Sarah Gallego said she had met her husband in Zinc on New Year's Eve 22 years ago.

Gareth Benson also revealed he had met his partner 16 years ago in the club and had been married for 13 years, with three children.

Hefina Jones said in the 60's, it was 'The Queen of Clubs' which was for under 18's.

She added: "Live bands, Technicolour Dream Coat from Anglesey, Respect from Flint, Soul & Inspiration from Wrexham and others. We had some brilliant times there and all without booze."

Tony Jones said: "Rhyl will never be what it once was. So many memories growing up in Scruples, club Zinc, Bar Blue and Shooter."

Kelly Jones declared: "Rhyl is just finished".
