CONWY pupils continue to perform above the Welsh National GCSE average on A* to G grades, and the overall pass rate for A* has risen.
The proportion of higher grade passes of A* to C grades has improved and compares favourably with the Welsh National average.
Cllr Julie Fallon, Conwy’s cabinet member for education said: “Congratulations to Conwy’s learners on their GCSE results, and a big thank you to all the teachers, parents and carers for supporting and encouraging our young people.
“Students across the county have performed well and GCSE overall pass rates have increased to 97.3 per cent.
“We also celebrate the achievements of students taking other examinations, including vocational courses and the Welsh Baccalaureate.
“I wish all our students the very best of luck as they move forward in education, training and careers.”
