POLICE continue to protect the community from illegal substances, an inspector has said.
Officers of the South Flintshire policing team conducted a successful warrant in Broughton on Wednesday morning.
One person was arrested for concern of supply from a property in Gladstone Road after a quantity of cannabis was found.
Inspector Steve Owens told the Leader: "The warrants we conduct are based on community intelligence. We thank the community for their support and we continue to welcome to receive that.
"The scales found also suggest a view of supplying."
The Leader has previously reported that North Wales Police pledged to crack down on drugs across the region.
PC Allen, of the South Flintshire policing team, added: "The Broughton warrant proved positive.
"It wasn't a significant find but it's about that community impact at the end of the day.
"They come to us because it's affecting where they live. It may not include top end drugs but this is the stuff that regular residents are having to watch, old people or children in the park and it affect the whole community
"It's important that we respond to all of people's concerns.
"People say the police don't care but we do and it's our duty to protect the community."
