A COUNCILLOR has praised North Wales Police for listening to residents' concerned.
Cllr Gill Faulkner, of Connah's Quay, said the residents of Pen y Llan flats now feel safer following a series of home closures in June.
The Leader has previously reporter that two closures were granted for Quay Warf and Chestnut Court.
This was due to ongoing reports of anti-social behaviour and drug use.
Cllr Faulkner told the Leader: "The whole area has improved, it has made a difference to people's lives.
"Loads of people came to me and told me they felt intimidated by the drug users. People in Bryn Road and surrounding areas have said what a difference it made and they don't see many drug users around the flats.
"It was happening every day and it wasn't just one person, there was loads. That's the feedback I'm getting.
"It's good to see the police taking on the feedback and acting on concerns."
