POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary in Flintshire.

Inspector Steve Owens, of the South Flintshire policing team, said a property in the Babell area was broken into overnight between August 10-11.

He told the Leader: "Offenders have entered the unoccupied property via the front window, that has been forced, and made an untidy search throughout the whole of the property.

"Eight bottles of lager and a bottle of gin were taken. Other items of significant value have been left untouched.

"CSI attended and we are awaiting an update from their examination. House to house enquiries are also being undertaken.

"This is a rare occurrence in this rural area and we would appeal for anyone with information of suspicious people or unusual vehicles in the area to come forward."

Anyone with information can contact North Wales Police on 101 quoting ref 19100445401.
