GUESTS turned out in force to mark the official launch of next year’s Brighton Half Marathon.
The race will be marking its 30th anniversary in 2020.
Brighton MPs including Kemptown’s Lloyd Russell-Moyle, and Pavilion’s Caroline Lucas, city mayor Alexandra Phillips and councillors were all at the event at The Grand hotel on Thursday.
The Grand Brighton Half Marathon run is in February 23.
It is organised by Brighton charity The Sussex Beacon, which provides specialist support for people living with HIV.
Race director Martin Harrigan said: “The race has grown enormously over the past three decades as more people have taken up running and we’re very proud.”
To celebrate 30 years, organisers are asking for anyone who ran the first half marathon in 1990 to share their stories.
