Rhyl Sixth student Dina Campbell, 19, gained an A in Maths, an A in Chemistry and a B in Physics.

What makes these results all the more extraordinary is that Dina achieved them in just one year, instead of the normal two.

The teenager, of Denbigh, began her A level studies at a private school, but found that it wasn’t for her.

Rhyl Sixth was recommended to her by a friend and the centre agreed to let Dina sit her A levels in one year.

Former Rhyl High School pupil Dylan Cairns, 17, of Rhyl, gained straight A grades in Psychology, Sociology and Law at AS level.

Dylan plans to study Neuropsychology at St Andrews University after finishing his studies.

"I’m now off to study Product Design at university with the aim of becoming a freelance designer in the future.”

Grŵp’s Chief Executive, Dafydd Evans, said: “This is fantastic news for our students and sets them up very well for a successful future whether in higher education or in the workplace.

"I am particularly proud of our outcomes at both our campuses in Rhos-on-Sea and Rhyl, where results are outstanding.”
