ONE person has been taken to hospital by air ambulance following a serious collision in Llangollen.
North Wales Police confirmed Castle Street was closed following a serious road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a car.
Motorists were advised to use an alternative route.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called on Thursday 15 August at approximately 10.03 am to reports of a road traffic accident in Llangollen.
"We responded with two emergency ambulances and we were supported by the Wales Air Ambulance and the Police Service.
"One patient is being transported by air ambulance to the Royal Stoke University Hospital."
