BRAVE fundraisers were blessed with fine weather as they took on a charity abseil.
More than £1000 was raised during the event on Saturday, August 3, which involved an abseil down St Asaph Cathedral tower and a fun day. A total of 32 people abseiled, the youngest being 12.
As a result of enthusiasm from participants, the proposed finished time was moved from 4pm until 5.30pm.

Parishioners Marion and Chris Hughes said: "We are grateful to Dave Orange and his team from Open Door Adventure, Bontnewydd, for expertly and safely looking after so many who were courageous enough to firstly scale the 126 tower steps before abseiling from the top of the tower.
"Thanks to everyone who helped to make this fun day a complete success.

"The proceeds from the activities will be shared equally between the Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospice and for the restructuring of the St Asaph Parish Church to make it available as a centre for community activities as well as continuing to be the parish church."
Representatives from Denbighshire Youth Service, North Wales Police, RNLI, Abbie’s Army and Mind were in attendance.
The fun day featured activities such as a bouncy castle, face painting, life saving training, messy church science experiments and a red book mystery.
