NATURE lovers are invited to celebrate Prestatyn Flower Show as it returns to the town in all its glory this Friday and Saturday.

The show will once again be held in the grounds of Cerrig Llwydion, the former Vicarage Gardens - a fitting backcloth for this popular event.

The flower show is now its in 25th year.

There is something for everyone to enjoy, from a fine array of vegetables to a colourful range of flowers, floral art and plants.

If crafts are your interest, then there is plenty to choose from! Think embroidery, knitting, crochet, felting and many more.

To mark the 25th anniversary, in the floral art section there are two titles – ‘celebration’ and a table decoration suitable for a 25th anniversary

In the domestic section, a new class has bloomed - Star Baker.

The challenge is to present five different types of baking - a fruit scone, a slice of cake, a macaroon, a biscuit and a pastry or small pie. All to be displayed and labelled in an arrangement to tempt the judges.

Another new feature is ‘500 Words’ - an amusing story about My First Car using 500 words.

Entertainment for all ages is on offer too.

On Friday there will be toe-tapping music from the Hotfoot Jazzmen. They also appear on Saturday along with the Rhyl Silver Band.

On Saturday there is the ever popular Classic Car Display in Ty Nant and the Civic Square.
