CHILDREN from a Rhyl primary school enjoyed afternoon tea with residents of Spruce Avenue.

Pupils from Ysgol Bryn Hedydd were keen to get to know the residents; the school is located on Spruce Avenue.

Homemade cakes were on offer as well as biscuits and sandwiches. The school hall was also decorated for the party.

A spokesperson from Ysgol Bryn Hedydd's PTA said: "The turn out was great. The children served the tea and sandwiches and chatted to the residents.

"There were lots of smiles and laughter from both young and old and on leaving, all the residents said what a wonderful time they'd had and what a joy it was to meet the children of Ysgol Bryn Hedydd."

The school is hosting a summer fair on Thursday, July 4 between 5pm and 7pm. Two non uniform days are being held in support of the fundraising event.
