POLICE have seized a 'dangerous dog' following an incident in Flintshire on Sunday.
Police said officers obtained a warrant to search a property in the Buckley area on Monday, and have seized a dog believed to be involved in a 'dangerous dog' incident.
The dog has been taken to a secure location while officers continue their investigation, police said.
A South Flintshire Police spokesman said: "Today (Monday) we obtained a search warrant from the magistrates court to search an address in Buckley in relation to a dangerous dog incident that took place yesterday (Sunday).
"We would like to reassure the public that the animal in question has now been seized and is in a secure location whilst we continue with our investigation."
A North Wales police spokesman said: "We were called at 5.34pm on June 16 to Alyn Road to report of a staffy type dog biting a young woman and also attacking her Pomeranian terrier.
"The female received hospital treatment to her arm. The injured terrier was later put to sleep by a vet. No arrests have as yet been made, but an investigation is underway."
