PRESTATYN high flyers have wowed judges once again in an international competition.

Elevation Aerial Arts will send eight of its students and one of its instructors to the UK Aerial Performance Championships at the Russell's International Circus big top in Mablethorpe on Saturday, August 24 following a successful North Wales heat at their studio on Brook Park Avenue.

Elevation aerial arts students have taken the three top places in youth silks , with Sophy Morgan , Emily Richards and Kiki Walsh. Also winning her category and placing first in the final was Emily Christopher in aerial hoop, Gabriella Pritchard will compete in the open final competing in aerial hammocks, Elin Pot in amateur open competing on aerial hammocks trapeze instructor Jennifer Quinlan is also a finalist.

International judge and owner Sam Palmoba, who won the doubles herself in 2016 and 17, said: "I'm very proud of all the girls and the school for taking the top spot - a school taking the top three in a single category has never happened that I know of."

In previous years, former instructor Talia Hawker won the instructors aerial silk category before leaving to join Russell's circus, while this year reigning hoops doubles champions Emily Richards and Honey Bradford successfully defended their title. Miss Bradford will also be defending her title at the competition as last years solo aerial hoop winner.
