BROTHER duo Craig and Mike Pritchard are set to make their southern hemisphere debuts this weekend after arriving in New Zealand.

The talented forward-minded pair have been cleared to turn out for new club Melville United in their Chatham Cup derby against Claudelands Rovers on Saturday following their official registration on May 16.

Craig secured a move to the Four Crosses Construction Arena last summer after impressing considerably for a Denbigh Town side that finished second in the Huws Gray Alliance behind Caernarfon Town in 2018.

He made a considerable impact under Craig Hogg and Neil Coverley throughout the campaign, attracting the attention of some non-league clubs in the process before eventually deciding on a move to join Josh Davies at United.

Craig, said: “It was just a matter of experience to come out and play in a different country.

“I’d heard good things about Melville, and the New Zealand lifestyle.”

Mike arrived at the Educate Resource Stadium last summer after a spell at Cefn Druids, where he was part of their Europa League squad prior to joining the Lilywhites.

He instantly became a very influential member of the senior squad and one of the most creative players operating at his position outside of the JD Welsh Premier League.

The striker was previously with Rhyl during the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons and was a regular scorer for the Lilies’ during this spell.

He moved to Prestatyn Town in July 2014 before returning to Druids in the summer of 2016 when they returned to the Welsh Premier League.

During this spell, he made 57 appearances for the Ancients, scoring 11 goals.
