A young man from Kinmel Bay was on Friday warned to prepare himself for prison after he admitted being involved in the supply of drugs.

Defendant James Lowe-Mattinson, aged 27, of Roseview Crescent in Kinmel Bay, appeared in the dock at Mold Crown Court where he pleaded guilty where he admitted attempting to supply cannabis to another in September 2017, possessing cannabis with intent to supply in February 2018, and being concerned in the supply of cannabis between September 2017 and February 2018.

He was rebailed pending sentence but Judge Timothy Petts said it was a serious matter.

His guilty plea would make a difference, he said.

The defendant had been involved in cannabis supply over a period of time and while he had no previous convictions it was a serious matter.

Although the defence may be able to persuade a judge that he ought to receive something different, he could prepare himself for custody, he said.
