RHYL'S very own award winning players will breathe new life into the classic comic romance Cyrano de Bergerac next month.
The Rhyl Liberty Players' will present an exciting take on Edmond Rostand's 19th century masterpiece in a witty modern adaptation by Glyn Maxwell at the Little Theatre for three nights from Wednesday, July 10 .
The performance will follow the 76 year old institution attempts to add to their success at the Clwyd Festival of Full Length Plays at the All Wales Final at Theatr Clwyd on the Friday, June 7 and Saturday 8.
For this latest production, revisit the tale of swordsman, philosopher, poet and raconteur Cyrano de Bergerac as he seeks the love of the beautiful Roxane.
However,he has just one problem - an iconic oversized nose. Surely he is too ugly ever to be loved?
As the story unfolds, witness duelling foes, powerful rivals, and a war against Spain that will put the hero to the test before he finds his way at last into his lady's arms.
