WILDLIFE lovers have the chance to get close to special birds and critters at a 15th century townhouse in Ruthin.
A nature day will take place at Nantclwyd y Dre, the oldest timber-framed townhouse in Wales next month.
Denbighshire County Council's countryside service will have a variety of animals on show, including birds, bugs and bats, among the townhouse's garden woodland and wildflower meadows.
There will also be representative from the countryside service to talk about their role in caring for local wildlife.
During the nature day, the winners of the council's Bee Friendly Logo competition will be revealed. The competition asked schoolchildren aged between five and 14 to create a logo for the county after it was awarded Bee Friendly Status by the Welsh Government, a scheme which aims to make Wales more pollinator-friendly.
The nature day takes place on Saturday, June 8 from 10am-5pm
