FIREFIGHTERS were called when burning rubbish got out of control in Rhyl.
Eyewitnesses reported large plumes of smoke during the fire at the rear of a property on Victoria Road.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service sent one fire crew from Rhyl to quench the flames at 7.10pm, on Thursday, May 16.
A spokesperson said: A quantity of rubbish was being burned. It was a controlled burning, but which got out of control. No one was hurt. A fire crew from Rhyl attended."
In another incident, a small grass fire at Kinmel Bay was believed to have been started deliberately. One fire crew from Rhyl was called to put out flames in a 10 square metre of grass at 9.41pm, on Thursday, May 21.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "It is thought that the fire was started deliberately."
At Prestatyn, firefighters were called to a market stall which was deliberately set alight in the early hours of Monday morning.
A Prestatyn fire crew was sent to the incident on Gas Works Lane at 12.02am, on Friday morning.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "It is believed the fire was started deliberately."
