A RESCUE of a 13-year-old girl swept into the sea on Anglesey has prompted a warning by the coastguard.
The youngster got into difficulties at about 2.30pm when she was swimming with friends in the creek near Amlwch Port.
Holyhead Coastguard called the search and rescue helicopter from Caernarfon, Moelfre RNLI and the Cemaes Bay coastguard team.
A spokesperson for the Holyhead Coastguard said: "We are urging people to always be aware of their surroundings, the dangers of the sea are very real. People should be conscious of the tides and take care around hazards such as slippery rocks."
The teenager was checked by helicopter paramedics but did not require hospital treatment.
