GENEROUS primary school pupils have donated to a Rhyl food bank.
Children from year four, in the The Academy of Adventure at Ysgol Llywelyn, collected various items for the King's Storehouse. The children are in three groups relating to age groups at the Rhyl based school - Adventures, Explorers and Discovers.
The food came from children's survival kits which they created as part of their homework topic on The Great Outdoors.
A spokesperson for the school said: "The donation to the foodbank is part of the children’s learning to become ethical, informed citizens.
"For homework, the children put together survival kits and when it came to an end, they were given a choice what to do with the food and parents decided on the donation to the food bank."
David Jones, from King’s Storehouse, paid a visit to the school to see the children."
