TWO of the most talented men in the business will set temperatures soaring in Rhyl this summer.

The Pavilion will welcome 2011 Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) winner Jai McDowall alongside G4’s Jonathan Ansell for a stop at one of his favourite venues in Les Musicals in June.

Returning for his second year -with McDowall picking up the baton from X Factor star Rhydian Roberts - Ansell will be looking to blow the roof off the Pavilion following a stellar showing last year.

Ansell said: "Rhyl is genuinely one of my favourite venues to play.

"Having been fortunate enough to perform here for almost 15 years, since we first came with G4 directly after we came second on the X-Factor in 2015.

"The audiences are always so warm and enthusiastic. Last year we thought the roof was going to actually be blown off by the ladies screams as we started to strip off our suits towards the end of the first half of the show - much to their frustration, the lights blinded them and them just as we ripped off our Velcro trousers.

"We were then re revealed sat in shorts and rolled up white shirts to sing a couple of classics from Blood Brothers.

"It felt like we were full on rock stars!"

Joining the star is winner of the fifth series of BGT in 2011, Scottish singer McDowall, whose rendition of Josh Groban’s To Where You Are, releasing debut album Believe later that year.

For anyone yet to experience the power of the dynamic duo, Les Musicals showcases even more smash-hit songs from the greatest musicals of all time, brought to you by two of the world’s finest voices.

Fans of the West End and Broadway can immerse themselves into the world of musical theatre with classics from Les Miserables, Phantom Of The Opera, Blood Brothers, Wicked, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Greatest Showman, Miss Saigon, Chess, We Will Rock You and many more.

Ansell, who has had the honour of performing in a Bee Gees medley onstage with the late Robin Gibb, will show McDowell around the town and take to Rhyl beach to enjoy some of his favourite past-time.

Ansell added: "The fact the venue is right on the coast is a huge plus for me too as the beach is so vast and has enables me to enjoy a mid June dip in the freezing ocean, kite boarding up and down the shoreline on my touring power kite set up and also gives me a chance to give my drone a good blast as it flies out towards the wind turbines and creates epic footage of the miles of golden sand into the distance.

After sell-out shows in 2018, this is certainly a concert not to be missed.
