Abby’s father, who wore an outfit displaying the family’s love of Disney and America, read out a poem he had written in memory of his "beautiful little girl".

The Leader:

He reflected on the 15 years the family spent with Abby’s "sweet, loving smile" and the "endless memories" they will cherish forever.

Darren also praised the Mold Alun school pupils for their maturity and compassion after they organised a balloon release in memory of Abby in the week following her death.

At the service, her sister Jess selected a poem using some of their favourite Disney characters and moments which was read out by the service conductor.

A selection of photographs were shown to the crematorium that displayed how full of love and joy Abby’s life was – from family outings and school uniform pictures, to holidays in sun-soaked America and the snowy fields of Lapland.
