TAKE a trip on one of the most fabulous icons in modern cinema when the Queen of the Desert rolls into Rhyl this September.

All the players are in place to join 2017 Strictly Come Dancing Champion and Holby City star Joe McFadden for six nights at the Pavilion of Jason Donovan's revival of Aussie LGBTQ classic, Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.

Based on the 1994 film of the same name starring Donovan's former Neighbours co-star, Guy Pearce, as well as Hugo Weaving and Terence Stamp, Priscilla follows the hilarious and flamboyant adventure of three friends – Felicia Jollygoodfellow, Mitzi Del Bra and Bernadette Bassenger – who hop aboard a battered old bus bound for Alice Springs to stage the show of a lifetime.

Joining McFadden McFadden as Mitzi is Laurence Olivier Award Winner Miles Western as Bernadette and Nick Hayes will play as Felicia.

Guiding first time producer Donovan and the cast is Mark Goucher productions, the team behind the critically-acclaimed West End and UK tour productions of Hairspray and Fame.

The iconic hit musical has more glitter than ever before, featuring a dazzling array of stunning costumes, fabulous feathers and a non-stop parade of dance-floor classics including It’s Raining Men, I Will Survive, I Love The Nightlife, Finally and many more.

The Queen of the Desert begins life affirming journey through Rhyl at The Pavilion from Monday, September 23 until Saturday 28, 2019 at 7.30pm along with a 2.30pm matinee performance on the Saturday.

The Journal has two tickets for opening night on Monday, September 23 to give away. To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is answer the following question: Which of Jason Donovon's fellow former Neighbours actors appeared in the 1994 film of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert ?
